Bare Trusts: What we thought we knew, but didn't

Alison will (i) briefly review why we need to be able to properly identify bare trusts, (ii) discuss the core elements of a bare trust, (iii) outline the key items that distinguish bare trusts from other related concepts and identify what they have in common with these other concepts, and (iv) discuss certain specific arrangements such as “in trust for” accounts and other problematic situations.
